![]() The series proved successful, lasting from 1999 until 2009, where it ended with a television movie entitled ‘Big Picture Show’. After many more months of concepts and planning, the programme was put straight into production without the use of a 7 minute pilot episode, which was one of a number of firsts for the company that came as a result of Ed Edd n Eddy. Both channels were very keen on working with the show, but Danny wanted to have creative control over his production, which Cartoon Network later allowed after some negotiation. After working over a few months on a concept for a children’s programme entitled ‘Ed Edd n Eddy’, he sent a concept sheet to Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon to see if they would be interested in picking up his show for production. After this work with adult animated productions, Danny decided to begin work with children’s productions again. After this, he created the animated shorts programme ‘Cartoon Sushi’ for MTV in 1997. ![]() Later, Danny would start up the production studio a.k.a Cartoon, which later resulted in the production of the series ‘The Brothers Grunt’ for MTV, which lasted from 1994 to 1995. This led to Antonucci being picked up for commercial work for clients such as MTV due to the short’s popularity. He would later work on his short film ‘Lupo the Butcher’ at Rocketship Limited, which would later go onto be shown at multiple film festivals in America. ![]() Eventually, Antonucci would later get a job in Vancouver working at International Rocketship Limited, where he would animate short films and commercial work. This resulted in him working on shows such as The Smurfs and Scooby Doo & Scrappy Doo. Antonucci initially studied at The Sheridan College of Visual Arts, before quitting his course to go to Canimage Production. Of all of his works, he’s best known for his work on the series Ed Edd n Eddy for Cartoon Network. Danny Antonucci is a Canadian animator and director who was born on February 27th 1957.
